Having Trouble installing

I'm trying to install OS X on my rev c/d iMac. It keeps giving me an error message that says,
Error Could not install
please try again.


What should I do?
 
Are you sure you have enough open disk space on your system drive? It takes a lot more than just the size of the update to be able to install it. give it close to a gig at least.:)
