How can i become a part of apple's testing team? I want to get my own copy of snow leopard, Is it too late to sign up?
I dont like running leopard as much..

If anyone has a link, or can provide me with some info, that would be great.
Thank you

Invited? I'm sorry, i just didnt understand i had to go through all of this, does it cost money? I don't think that it would, but im just wondering.
Sorry for all the trouble Satcomer, But thank you

Nonono. No invitation necessary. Simply become part of ADC with a Select or Premier membership (both cost quite a bit of money) and you'll get access to betas of Mac OS X (among other things). The Select membership is 500$ per year. There's an invitation system for getting even earlier access to betas, but the first step is ADC, anyway.

I was looking around on ADC, your right, no invitation is necessary, all you have to do is select snow leopard, and you can download it from there, but it says that i have to have a Select or Premium just like you said.
I really dont want to spend 500 bucks right now, not when its going to be released in a few months.

Thank you guys though. I was hoping that it would be free, paying 500 isn't really worth it to me.

Either way, why would you want to run beta software on a production system? I'd recommend doing so on a test system if you have one available. Don't decide to go to a beta just because Leopard doesn't do it for you for whatever reason. Heck, I'm still on Tiger and I'm so content that I haven't bothered to upgrade to Leopard just yet! :p

No, thats not what i said, i said that Leopard is hard to compare to snow leopard.

I've ran leopard since it came out, so if it was really a problem then I'd just go back to tiger. You should really consider upgrading.

Wait so you lack ADC membership but have Snow Leopard (which is decidedly not out yet). Download that off the interwebz did you?

What are you talking about? I asked how to become apart of apple's testing/development team, not where i can download snow leopard.

I've used Leopard since some of the iMacs I maintain at a school I work at came preinstalled with it. It's nice, but it's not that compelling for me to move over from Tiger just yet. So far, I haven't had a dire need to move from Tiger to Leopard. Once developers start moving away from Tiger, I will most likely move to Leopard, but there's no critical need just yet IMO.

I had a friend give me the latest version of Snow Leopard and I can tell you that it is fast in some areas, but it had a bunch of compatibility issues and I would recommend not installing it. Plus you cannot install any software updates because Snow Leopard does not register as a certain version such as 10.5.7 would.
