iDVD: Best Performance or Best Quality?

What is recommend? Best Performance or Best Quality?
I usually choose Best Quality, but am I screwing up my performance overall?
How can I do both? Ultimately that's what I want.
Why would anyone choose one over the other? What instances would you use one over the other?

I can't remember the last time I opened iDVD, but I imagine that this simply refers to how you view it on your computer monitor and not when burnt to a disc.

In other words, if you have a slow computer you'd choose Best Performance and iDVD will downgrade what you see on-screen so your computer can handle playing it smoothly. If your computer is fast then go for Best Quality.

A simple search on Apple's support site cleared this up very quickly:

"Best Quality" makes the best-looking final product, but takes longer to encode.

"Best Performance" cuts corners, allowing you to burn a final DVD faster by sacrificing picture/sound quality.
