Iphoto is not starting up

Have you tried opening it in safe mode?. Try opening the program using another account(create one if you don't have one)if it works you have a corrupted preference list. Go to Mac ~/library/preferences/com.apple.iphoto.plist and move this file to the desktop and relaunch your iphoto.

Alternatively you can recreate your library by pressing option while launching iphoto.
 
Hellochino---reinstall iphoto from your ilife cd again and that should cure the problem. I had similar prob.; only my iphoto would not open at all. reinstall cured my prob. and all pics. were there and iphoto even worked faster.
