So i installed Jaguar on my iMac DV, chose the erase/format/install option, and began the installation. the first disk installed smoothly, and when the computer rebooted to go onto the second disk, i go the dark apple on the light background, and not much else. i've tried booting up while holding c with both my x.2 disc, and my 9.0 disc, but its not working out for me.

anyone know what's going on with this thing?

thank you!

dan.

Try resetting the parameter RAM. Look through your manuals for directions for doing so. I think it's Command-option-P-R. Let the computer chime three times, then let go of the keys. If that doesn't work, try restting non-volatile RAM. You have to hold down a special key sequence to get to the open firmware to type in a series of commands. I had to do this after installing a friends HD and my computer would no longer boot from the CD. A $50 call to Apple straightened that problem out for me.
