Hi,

I just had to re install mac os x 10 but after I did I was not able to log in as it seems that my user details have been erased. So I started up from the cd rom again and navigated to the password utility there I tried to change my password but the only user option was system administrator (root) nothing else!.

Please can some one help!

Hi Damien

When you did the re-install did you use the archive and Install option?-
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1710
This option will preserve your settings and files while re-installing the system.

Do you have a backup of your user files?
