Mac OS 10.2.3 Icons won't change!

Hi all! Before I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.2.3 I could put custom icons on my files and change them whenever I liked. Now I can only change the icon once! What's going on? Thanks.

It's probably a silly cache issue. Try logging out and logging in and you should see the new icon.

I had that problem under 10.2.2 and 10.2.3 fixed it for me. Sometimes its a permissions thing too. But if your just doing your apps and work files a log out and in should work.

I've logged out, restarted, tried it as root (!) and the icon's still won't change!

just change the icon and restart the finder

Try deleting the custom icon, closing the window, then open and paste a new one.
