I was wondering (Admins?) whether those smilies could be updated to accomodate a more Mac feel?

The ol' mac classic smiley would be fantastic!:D

Yeah they can easily be updated, and that's a fantastic idea!

Someone would have to make them though, and make rather nice looking ones. Also, try to keep them approximately the same size as the current icons. Too-big icons goof up text and tables.
 
If Admin likes the idea then I'd gladly whoop up some nice Mac smilies for the forums! :)
 
Depends on how many you guys spin up.

It also depends on whether or not Admin wants to change them in the first place.

Ok, the official word is no.

We will not be having new smileys at this time.
 
it wouldn't even be that difficult...

1. get a list of the file names and the emoticons they stand for redesign them as aqua styled drops and save them out with the same filename, keeping them same pixel dimensions and being mindful of filesize.

2. after the files are created like that, stuff them and mail em to Admin...

3. Admin unstuffs them and drops them in the "/forums/images/smilies/" directory.


I really think this site needs some serious sprucing up.
 
We know it's not all that difficult.

In fact, it's really easy. I even gave him some examples that certain people did.

But the word is no. Sorry.
