Mounting a PC laptop Hard Drive to Mac OS X

Is there a way -or has it even been done: mounting a PC laptop hard drive to a Mac OS via Firewire port upon boot-up?

A buddy of mine has a Dell laptop that is unable to boot into Windows due to a registry corruption. Trying to go into Safe Mode or repair it with a WindowsXP CD is not working. My buddy wants to salvage the data and get a Mac now.

Is there a way to accomplish this?
 
What you will need to do is goto compusa and ask for a 2.5 hard drive to IDE cable hockup. then put it in to your Mac. Or you can get a FireWire Enclosure for a laptop hard drive. OWC's Firewire Enclosure kits. You will need the kit for a 2.5 Hard Drive. OWC has the best prices for this kind of stuff.
