Need HELP w/D-Link Wireless Router and Powerbook

I just installed a new D-Link 614+ Wireless Router at home using my home desktop PC and work laptop PC.
I also have a fairly new Powerbook G4 667, which I want to use but I cant seem to get any network connection with it except when I am actually plugged into the router via cable.
I followed the instructions that came with the D-Link which go like this;

Click on 'Network'
Select 'Built-In Ethernet'
Select 'Using DHCP' in the Configure pull down menu
Click on 'Apply Now'

Seems simple enough, but it's not recognizing my router. Is there anything else I need to configure or do?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance...

I think the D-Link instructions are F*d.

Why would it have you go into
Network Pref's and then configure 'BuiltIn Ethernet' if you want to config Airport?

Do this.

Go into Network Prefs and select Airport instead and ghen configure it for DHCP.

Thanks howardm4! I will try that. Unfortunately. I need to return the D-Link and get another wireless router since my laptop cannot access work via VPN.
I am going to exchange it for the Linksys. I assume that I should follow the steps you told me with the Linksys as well?

Thanks...
