Network SNAFU

I'm hoping someone can help me here... I rearranged my office and everything is up and running... for the most part. I have my network hooked up like:

Cable Modem >
Router >
iMac G4
Airport Express Station: iBookG4

It worked in the past... until now. The problem is, they both can connect to the web without problems, but neither can see each other via file sharing. I can't figure out what's wrong.

Both Macs are running OS X 10.3.8
Both running on DCHP (I've tried renewing DCHP lease)
Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0
AppleTalk enabled (both)

~

Airport configured:
Internet connect using Ethernet (Using DHCP)
Distribute IP Addresses: Share Single IP (Using DHCP & NAT; Use 192.168.1.1 addressing)

I'd offer more details, but I'm not sure what else to include.

Any help would be great. TIA!

Update: I had Airport configured incorrectly: It was distributing IP addresses under the Network panel and was negating the Router. Once I shut it off everything worked out fine.

Setup the Airport Express as a bridge, don't let it issue out DHCP. Allow your router to be in charge of that. This will put both your laptop and desktop on the same subnet and all should work well. Also, make sure you have thsoe options turned on and allowed through the Mac's internal firewall.
