No ethernet after 10.1.15 upgrade

Hi,

The OS doesn't seem to know about my built in ethernet anymore after upgrading to 10.1.15 (by downloading it over DSL via ethernet). In the network thingy the ethernet was grayed out. I deleted it thinking I could then do new to try again, but it only offers the modem as a choice. What'll I do?

MacNN has a blurb about an ethernet problem that crapt up on some people using 10.1.5.

I don't know if this is your problem, but you might want to check it out.

1) create a new administrative user
2) use the new account to access the Network Panel?

Same thing.

Dang. Looked promising, but still only the modem is available.

Ech. All right, after installing the no network after sleep things from macnn, I reinstalled the 10.1 upgrade and then upgraded to 10.1.15 and I have ethernet again.
