i am running os x 10.04, i downloaded itunes 2 and attempted to install it, and now my system is going crazy. i cant update to 10.1 at the moment because i am living france. i have lost my battery monitor, and allof my files now say they were created jaunuary 1st 1970. i cant find the original itunes to download, and i have no idea how to fix this problem.

I am not sure how to undo the problem that you have had, but some symptomatic releif may be to:-

1. For the battery monitor, check that the option to show it is still checked. This can be found in System Preferences/ Energy saver/ options tab.

2. Check your date and time re: the 1970.

3. I haven't tested this but you could copy the files to comeone elses computer and then back again. This may change the file dates to today. Something else to check. If you boot your computer into OS 9.x, are the dates correct? Do you have a recent backup that you could restore to a temp directory. Maybe the dates are correct here?

Hope that this is of some assistance.
