.pax files?

Sorry if this seems a dumb question, I am a relative newbie.

I have got hold of a file:

iMovieUpdater3.0.1.pax

If this is an update for iMovie 3, how do I install it? I have never come across a .pax file before.

PAX is the internal format used by installer package files. You could try double-clicking it and see if Installer.app will know what to do with it. Otherwise re-download the iMovie updater.
