Ave,
My problem stems from the fact that the PHP 5.2.4 that came with Leopard is pretty rudimentary, hardly any extensions pre-compiled.
Unfortunately the current Entropy PHP 5.2.4 is NOT compatible with Leopard - upon installation it gives the infamous "postflight script error".
My problem is that I need the "dbase" extension working with my PHP. I know the Entropy PHP 5.2.4 comes with dbase pre-loaded - but since that's not compatible with Leopard yet, my only other choice would be to Compile PHP on Leopard with all that I need.
My first Question is:
a) Is there any other solution available besides compiling it on my own?
b) If not, is there any tutorials/directions anywhere that can help me compile PHP on Leopard?
c) Primarily - I know that there have been issues with mySQL when you compile PHP on your own on Mac OS X - as you have to then compile mySQL as well. I have never done either so I'm hesitant.
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
