i like the old office-- fine to write things and print on the old g3
but can i do this anymore with my g4?

when i go to the chooser in classic os, it doesn't seem to find any printers...

i can print fine in the osx environment

but is there any way to print my documents from office 98??

Why even bother with Office 98 for the Mac on OS X? You can download the latest version of OpenOffice if you don't mind launching X11. I'm using the latest version (2.0) and it works great for me, plus it supports the OpenDocument standard by default. It also launches X11 for you automatically (provided you have X11 installed in your OS X system).

If you want something that is OS X native, you might want to download NeoOffice/J, which is a Mac OS X native version of OpenOffice. However, I hear that it tends to be kind of slow. As for the actual version of OpenOffice 2.0, it's not very Mac-like in behavior (looks like it was lifted from Windows since the menu is resident in the application window itself...however, it looks great on Windows and Linux desktops). However, it's a very capable office productivity suite that I personally think blows away MS Office....and it's totally free thanks to its open source nature.

Check it out at http://openoffice.org.
