Problem installing CS3 Design Premium

I currently have a license to Macromedia Studio 8, which from what I've read that is not supported in OS X 10.5.2

So I plan on getting my company to upgrade me to CS3 Design Premium after purchasing a Macbook Pro with OS X Leopard 10.5.2.

Problem is i can't seem to get the trial installed, I've tried everything!!

When i open the Setup.app file it appears in my dock for a second then disappears, then nothing happens...

I've removed all adobe applications, macromedia flash player, no luck.

i tried installing acrobat read (latest version) then tried again, no luck.

any idea what the problem is here?

You have to not only remove the apps but 'uninstall' them as you would on a pc.

excuse my ignorance but assuming i remove all instances of adobe and macromedia apps from the applications directory, removed all instanced within Library/Application Support/ and did a search for both adobe and macromedia which yields no result...there programs are still installed somewhere (maybe mac's version of the registry) im new to mac os x obviously..

thanks for your replies, and btw i tried to cs3 cleanup utility..

Adobe has decent tech support and if you tell them that you're seriously considering a purchase of CS3, but that you need to get the trial running first ... I'm sure they'll help you.
