For some reason that I don't understand I am having problems running several programs on my Mac. It's a G4 and running OSX. I am having problems with my MSN messenger, and multiple other programs. The problem is that I will download them and they'll work fine. But after a little time passes, such as a day later, I'll try to open them and it'll bounce in the dock and then do nothing. Some programs won't work at all until I restart the computer. When I try to open one program says there was an error that could have resulted in the installation, but I believe it to be something else. If anyone knows any reason this may be happening I would certainly appreciate the help.

well, how much ram do you have? and free space on the hard drive? and when was the last time you ran disk repair/permissions?
