Here we go...
My computer configuration:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP41.00C1.B03
SMC Version: 1.27f1
Mac OS X 10.5.6 (By the time the problem occurred)
I have an extra Max OS X 10.5.2 installed on an external HD that I use for situations like this.
I was feeling my MPB a little slower lately, was having some crashes with Transmission and Safari and I had a kernel panic (I am really getting used to that, it reminds me of my windows) and decided to run some tests and verifications.
Run Disk Utility verifications. Result: "Key out of order"
Decided to run Disk Warrior (That is installed in the OS on the external HD) to Rebuild Directory. Results: No problem, no files losts, everything ok.
Reboot to start Mac OS X on internal HD, the boot gets to the Apple Logo and loading and then restart again and repeat the process over and over.
The external HD boots just fine (I am on it right now).
Any suggestions?
Right now I will try to run Disk Warrior to check All Files and Folders. Will post the results shortly.
