QuickTime Has No Audio

I have no idea why, but for some reason any file that I play through QT doesn't have any audio. If its a video file, it shows the video but no audio is coming through and if I play an audio file there is simply silence. I tried to restart but to no avail. Any ideas to fix this?

When looking under Audio Output there are no options, just a message saying: Output is not supported
