I'm doing my CCNA (and my head hurts) and I was curious, who uses what?
Serial communications via the XServe's serial port (caveats apply) or a USB to Serial adapter is a very useful thing. You can, for instance, configure your Cisco routers via a console session.
So the question is: What Serial communication software do you use?
I've got ZTerm working nicely, but it's old and doesn't seem to have been updated in about 3 years. I'm worried an OS update will kill it soon. (10.4.3 didn't, *phew*)
I've also had a poke around with Minicom as installed by Fink but with no luck (ok, I'll be honest, I don't have the patience to read and understand the Man page. Let the derision begin.) I've also found goSerial, but it's still in alpha...
As far as I can see, there is precious little Mac OS X compatible Serial communication software out there!
Anyone got a favourite? Experiences? Tips and tricks?
