titanium 500mhz processor upgrade?

I recently purchased a titanium powerbook g4 with a 500mhz processor and with leopard as the os. I am new so if i am in the wrong topic or something please direct me where i should be asking this question. I have noticed that streaming video is slower and i was wondering if there was some way that i can upgrade the processor without overclocking it. I am looking for services that will upgrade the processor, and i have only found one that will do it for $500. That is too expensive for me. Is there a way or service that can upgrade my processor speed? Thank you for any help.

The G4 was not designed for HD video because it came out before HD video. Your best bet would be saving your Money to go for a Mac Book because it will play that HD video with no problem.

There was no talk about HD anywhere, though. But the problem is graphics card more than it is MHz. You can't change either on the original TiBook, though. Sell it and buy a newer product. You'll want at _least_ an original MacBook, although that's quite old by now as well.

and those aren't upgradable more than 1 gig of ram. So if you did buy it from me, i sold it all the way upgraded

ya i actually i did and thank you i am typing on it right now and it works fine. i am trying to upgrade the processor. Thanks for the tip though. I was hoping to upgrade the processor to increase the video streaming. Thanks to anyone who responded you guys are a great help.

Yeah, the processor can't actually come off the board sadly, think of it like being soldered onto it. I am getting a 17in and 2 ibook's here pretty soon, so if you'd be interested in having a 17in powerbook, or an ibook, let me know.

If you'd be interested, when i get them I'll give you the specs

:)

Well i really like the computer that you sent to me. I have even been able to get it to charge. Now ever since i got the computer though my brother has been looking at the ibooks. He might be interested. I can talk to him. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh does it hold a pretty good charge now? I actually bought it off craigslist broken, and spent the money to fix it, and i was going to keep it, but somethings came up.

So now i have 3 ibook's 2X 600mhz, 640mb of ram, 20 gig hd, 10 gig hd, 1 good brand new battery 1 bad battery. so one is obviously better off than the other.
