I have a Powerbook G4. (1.67ghz, 1GB ram) thats running with Leopard. It was given to me that way and i must say that at some times its gets kinda stuck, the colored wheel just keeps on turning without stop.
Do you think that Leopard is too heavy for it, should i have Tiger on so that it works more efficiently and faster?

but isn't the processor also small for Leopard, i mean wouldn't Tiger be more suitable to those old specs?
Also keep in mind that this computer will only be used for internet work

Browsers are quickly going past Tiger. Very soon, browsers will move away from the PPC processor. As with Tiger, more RAM is better with Leopard. It really does show improvement from 1GB to 2GB. But, yes, the processor remains the same. 1.67GHz is really no slouch, but still is a G4. Give it all the room that you can by maxing out the memory.

You should have no less than 10% (15% preferred) of your hard drive capacity available as free space. This will give your virtual memory system the headroom that it needs to work properly. If you are under this threshold, then archive and remove your older data files.

thanx for the info guys but i really cant afford to buy anything (ram or an ssd drive) to make my PBook run faster, all i can do at the time is to reorganize possible mistakes in software

so you are not recommending me to go with Tiger? Should i better reinstall Leopard?

Adding memory wouldn't cost more than around $75. You can't lump RAM in the same category as an SSD - which (if you could even find one for your PATA cannection) remain much more expensive.
Are you running low on space on the hard drive? An archive & install option to reinstall Leopard would need about 3 or 4 GBs. You can remove much of that extra after the reinstall is completed, and you either have a better working system, or it continues to work much the same. The extra files will be in the 'Previous Systems' folder.
How much space do you have on your hard drive now?

25GB is available at the moment, but i prefer to make a clean install, there are stuff (apps) i do not want so making it clean will be the best, anyhow illl save space doing it clean!
