I've turned crossfade playback on and set it to 0 seconds. seems to gap much less than it used to. maybe even none, I have no mix cds to test it

so how does the updated mx2004 compare to the old mx in terms of speed?

if I remember correctly, this is the client that eats your cpu for breakfast. the cpu usage is way too high (the same with the original client though...). as pds said, proteus is nice, and uses 0% cpu when idle

ogg vorbis plugin for quicktime can be downloaded here install it and iTunes will play your .ogg files... Mplayer seems to play ogm and mkv... (google tells me they are both movie formats, is he right? I've never heard of em before)

U know on the "screen part" of iTunes (where song titles appear when they play and duration") if u click on an arrow u get those bouncing bars? Well does anyone know of a proggy, iTunes plugin, konfabulator widget etc that would do the same? U know like the effect on some radios that looks...

u got windows media player for mac, why would u use vpc?

sorry bout bringing the post back but just in case someone else gets similar problems. All I had to do was to reenable the fonts I disabled in font book. I can see the numbers in my dock now :)

after some debugging using the console I found out it was missing fonts. I did disable some before, with font book. I enabled them back and it works. wii :)

ah the typo... using panther anyway removed ~/Library/Preferences/AddressBookMe.plist but I still see myself in the address book. But if I try doing anything (preferences, add account etc) the proggy crashes. I removed it's preferences in cache, no luck. Maybe it isn't my card that crashes...

well a simple question. my address book card seems to crash my address book, so I'd like to remove it or create a new one (obviously not from the address book) so does anyone have any idea where on disk I can find it? (what file) thanks

chum: mail plays sounds and shows icon when there are new emails in inbox. any other folder won't do it. But I have mine in my inbox

In that case I'd move my whole home folder. There's too many settings for different apps to loose. And my guess is my home folder is the main reason for this.
