I don't have any specific examples (URLs) of slow loading sites. Just general browsing overall on my system feels much slower in OW vs Safari. I have Safari's cache disabled, so I don't think that's what's going on. OK. Admittedly OW loaded the Java applet on the page you linked to faster...

Closing the lid immediately after the startup chime usually works for putting the laptop in Mirroring mode. On a PowerBook at least.

Hold F12 for a couple of seconds… You could also double-click Eject.menu found here. ;) :p This will add an eject menu item to your Menu Bar. Command-drag the menu extra to move it or remove it. F12 should work though.

You could always burn the protected files onto CD, the re-import them into iTunes as mp3. Of course, there would be some loss of quality due to compression…
