An archive and install, WITHOUT saving users and settings, would probably be sufficent, as it is the same thing as an erase and install except it saves all your data.

I use an Epson C60 (no longer in production, I think) and have been very happy with it. Dind't even have to set it up. I just pluged it in and it was recognized. I would asume newer epson printers owuld work as well.

It works for me, although I usually have to remind myself NOT to hit enter after entering my password. If you enter your password and then press enter, as is my habit at least, you are actually canceling the process :) you have to manually click continue (or whatever the button is named).

Well, I did a clean reinstall of my entire system (just because its been a while) before upgrading to 10.2.8, but after I reinstalled X11, it and OpenOffice.org worked fine. If you just update to 10.2.8 without wiping the system, you shouldn't even need to reinstall X11, but if for some reason...

Well, yes actually. The first time you try to play one on the new computer, I believe a dialog will come up asking you to enter your password to authorize the computer to play the music. I suspect there is also a menu option to do this, but as I do not have an unauthorized computer to test it...

Before you get rid of your old computer, go to the Advanced menu in iTunes and choose "Deauthorize Computer" This will remove that computer from the list of computers allowed to play music purchased from your account so it will not count against the three computer limit.
