it sounds like a powermac, they all have the redlight, that doesn't mean anything, try to push the little button next to the battery you will see on the logic board, wait for 10 minutes and see if that allows you to power on. Also try re-seating your ram, and video card.

Roxio Toast will do the video_ts folders, this makes it playable on a dvd player.

You can use the one built into OS X, I think its called File Vault, which encrypts them. It can be found in system preferences under "security" :)

Well the beeping, is usually a Ram failure, which is more than likely your problem. The titanium powerbooks take pc 100 or pc133 the aluminum 12" take pc 2100 or 2700 The aluminum 15" and 17" take ddr2 pc 4200 (5300 will work) :) If it beeps 3 times, its definitely a ram failure. Try reseating...
